Bankers take over charity shop

BANKERS will be loaning their expertise to a charity shop in a bid to raise funds.

Save The Children, Coleraine, will work with employees from Lloyds Bank this Friday in a bid to increase the New Row store’s income.

Graham Lindsay, Lloyds Banking Group director of responsible business, said: “Becoming the best bank for customers means being the best bank for our communities.”

Staff join more than 500 bank workers across the country taking over 100 charity shops in a bid to raise £30,000.

Douglas Rouse, corporate partnerships director at Save the Children, said: “It’s fantastic to see Lloyds Banking Group colleagues from across the UK giving up their time to volunteer in our charity shops.”
