Celebrate 25 years of Hospice Care at Midnight Memory Walk

After a fantastic turnout last year at the Hospice Midnight Memory Walk, which raised over £17,000, plans are well underway for this year’s event which will begin and end at the beautiful setting of St Colman’s College, Newry on Saturday October 4.

As this September will mark the 25th Anniversary of the Hospice they are inviting all friends and families who have been touched by the Hospice in any way over this time to come along and help celebrate and remember our loved ones at this special event.

The 6km route around Newry City has been designed to be a fun and easy way for everyone to raise vital funds to support the local hospice. Hospice staff and volunteers will lead a light warm up routine prior to the event to ensure walking muscles are ready for action before the countdown to midnight, when participants set off on their journey.

Why not get a few family members, friends or work colleagues together and take advantage of their group discount for teams of four or more. 

The registration fee is £5 for this captivating event, and the Hospice ask that participants raise a minimum sponsorship of £20 individually, or £15 each if part of a group. Under 14’s register for free and are asked to raise a minimum sponsorship of £10 each. All fitness abilities can attend, and under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.
