Charges withdrawn over theft of tractor

A 21-year-old man had theft and handling stolen goods charges against him withdrawn last Thursday at Banbridge Magistrates Court.

Christopher Potts, Pine View Court, Gilford, had been accused of stealing a tractor valued at £8,000 or thereabouts on February 24 this year.

He was further charged with handling stolen goods, namely a Case tractor.

A public prosecutor said at last Thursday’s court that the charges would be withdrawn.

Potts was told he was free to leave the court by District Judge, Mr Paul Copeland.

Mr Gabriel Ingram, solicitor, represented Potts in court.
