Cookstown teenager denies drink driving, no insurance or licence, failing to report accident

A total of seven motoring offences allegedly committed by a teenager earlier this year are to be contested, East Tyrone Magistrates Court has been told.

Sharon Atkinson (19) from Union Place, Cookstown is accused of driving with excess alcohol/whilst unfit, having no licence or insurance and failing to stop, remain and report after an accident occurred in which damage was caused.

The offences are alleged to have taken place on January 10 in the Union Street area of Cookstown. After not guilty pleas were entered Deputy District Judge Neil Rafferty adjourned the case until August 22 when a contest date is to be fixed. Atkinson was remanded on continuing bail.
