Female pedestrian injured after being struck by vehicle on Newtownabbey zebra crossing

Police have launched an appeal for information after a female was struck by a vehicle at a zebra crossing on Manse Road, Newtownabbey, close to Beverley Shops, sustaining injuries.

The Times understands the incident occurred at around 3.40pm on Wednesday, November 11, but details have only been made public by the PSNI.

A police spokesperson said: “The injured person told police that another female had witnessed the collision and stopped to give aid.

“Police are keen to speak to this female, and any other persons who witnessed this or may have dash cam footage. Please contact us on 101, quoting incident number 1397 of 11/11/20.”
