Man ‘tortured’ after he was abducted

This newspaper has learned the man was severely beaten, stabbed and slashed on the arms and legs with knives and shot in the leg with a crossbow during the ordeal

Police are investigating what they simply described as a ‘serious incident’ which occurred at a house in Gilford on the evening of Saturday, November 7.

They said: “A number of males were seen leaving the area in a blue coloured car. A linked incident in Portadown on the morning of Sunday, November 8, at approximately 9am is also being investigated involving a number of males in a vehicle in the Margaret Street/Hampton Court area of the town close to the Corcrain Road. Should anyone have any information in relation to the incidents or who may be able to help with the investigation, please call detectives in Lurgan on the non-emergency number 101 quoting reference number 255 08/11/20.”
