Newtownabbey traders urged to be vigilant due to ‘well organised shoplifters’
Police have issued an appeal to retailers across Antrim and Newtownabbey following reports of a “well organised team of shoplifters” targeting businesses in the run up to Christmas.

Urging traders to report any suspicious activity, a PSNI spokesperson said: “Shopkeepers in Antrim and Newtownabbey, please be aware of a well organised team of shoplifters targeting high value items, especially expensive perfumes and aftershaves.
“They will work as a team using children’s prams and swapping shopping baskets to avoid detection.
“Please contact us via 101 or 999 in an emergency to report suspicious behaviour,”
