Teenager ‘seriously sexually assaulted” by two males in car park

Detectives from PSNI’s Rape Crime Unit (RCU) are appealing for information in relation to the report of a serious sexual assault that occurred in the early hours of Thursday.

RCU Detective Inspector Adrian Brown said: “We have received the report that a 17-year-old female was seriously sexually assaulted by two males in a car park in the Dunluce Road area of Portrush, sometime between 1.30am and 2am.

“The two males made off when another female, unknown to the injured party, shouted at them. This female was wearing a red dress and helped her onto a bus marked “DC Bus”. I would appeal to this female to come forward and contact me to assist with the investigation.”
