Cullybackey Community Centre refurb to start this year
Bannside Councillor Roy Gillespie has welcomed confirmation that refurbishment of Cullybackey Community Centre is scheduled to start by the end of the year.
In an update to a Council committee last week, Officer Aidan Donnelly said the scheme “should be on site this year” and that all the work would be carried out in-house.
While the outcome of the planning application was still awaited, he said, community consultations were on-going, the Business Case had been approved through Council and Centre users had been advised to seek alternative accommodation.
Cllr Gillespie said: “I’m really pleased it will be going ahead this year, this will be a big improvement for Cullybackey.”
