Cullybackey WI meeting
President, Ruth Orr, welcomed members and speaker, Rev. Derek Kerr, to the February meeting of Cullybackey Women’s Institute.
Following business, Rev. Kerr detailed his interest in the Royal family, past and present, including his collection of Royal memorabilia. Members very much enjoyed his informative and often humorous stories.
Rosemary Kennedy, who has also had the honour of being presented to members of the Royal family, proposed a vote of thanks.
The monthly competition, which was for the oldest Royal souvenir, was won by Maureen Gardiner while Anne McElfatrick, the birthday girl, was presented with a small gift to mark the occasion.
