'˜Digger' unearths facts for historic society

Local man Chris Scott entertained Killultagh Historic Society with 'a terrific night of history, facts and craic' at its recent meeting.

A spokesperson said: “Chris took the audience on a trip round Glenavy with slides, old maps and newspaper cuttings and other memorabilia which he has collected over the years, explaining that he had found a new site which dealt with newspaper cuttings and he was able to glean a lot of information from it and used this to assist his searches for some of the people who helped make Glenavy into a thriving village.

“Chris also holds walking tours in Glenavy and is hoping to broaden his field and take in Dundrod, Budore and Stoneyford by minibus.
