The EP features three tracks penned by David, but perhaps the most notable track is ‘What Is Love?’ which he wrote after finding lyrics penned by his late mother when she was a young teenager.

“My mum Geraldine died when I was ten years old,” says David. “She was only 36 and died suddenly so when I found a notebook of hers in the attic containing diary entries and song lyrics I just knew I had to bring them to life. The song also features my sister Rachel and girlfriend Sarah Jane on backing vocals and my youngest sister Rebecca on violin so it’s a real family affair!”

The date of the release marks the 25th anniversary of Geraldine’s passing.

David will be supported by singers and musicians including PJ McDonald, Jim McKee, Brian Mills, Declan & Chloe McGrath, Stephen McDermott, David Murray and Fergal Christie. Admission is £10, payable at the door and the CD can be bought on the night.
