Eddie was welcomed to Wallace High School on Thursday morning, where he spoke to senior students about the upcoming EU Referendum.

The comedian, who lived in Northern Ireland as a child, is well known to be very pro-European. He recently performed his ‘Force Majeure’ show at The Mac in Belfast, with three performances in English, French and German, which was aimed at building support for the ‘Stronger In’ campaign.

“I first performed my show three times, in three hours, in three languages in Caen, Normandy on the 70th anniversary of D-Day,” he explained.

“It was to honour those who fought for freedom and democracy in WWII and since WWII.

“I continue to perform my 333 shows all around the UK to show how far we have all come since those dark days. Never forget. Stand and fight for Europe - do not run and hide from it.”
