Causeway Coast and Glens Council to debate planning application for Portstewart house

Causeway Coast and Glens Council’s Planning Committee is to debate an application for ‘extensive refurbishment and alteration’ of a house in Portstewart’s Harryville area.

The application is for 1 Harryville and permission is sought for “proposed extensive refurbishment and alteration of existing dwelling, to include new two and a half storey side extension, enhanced single storey ground floor rear extension, enhanced first floor rear extension and roof level dormer extension, including all associated siteworks”.

There were 12 letters of objections from six different postal addresses received in relation to this application.

A Planning Statement said: “The new side extension has been conceived to visually add to the existing terraced form, whilst respecting the existing character of the immediate area.
