Youth employment scheme to bring ‘green’ jobs to City

Recruitment has begun for a successful youth employability programme in Londonderry.

The Green Jobs Programme is being delivered by Groundwork Northern Ireland and focuses on giving outdoor work and horticulture skills to young people aged 16 to 24, not in education, employment or training.

Part funded by the European Social Fund and the Department for Employment and Learning, Green Jobs Team participants finish with an OCN Level 1 Qualification in Horticulture. The programme has already positively impacted on 30 young people in Belfast.
