Fun with local RNIB fundraising group

Volunteers from the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB)'s Banbridge Fundraising Group would like to thank everyone who supported their family fun day on Sunday 25 September at Banbridge Rugby Club, which raised a fantastic £1,055 to support children and young people with sight loss across Northern Ireland, through RNIB NI's Children and Families service.

Beverley Thom, RNIB volunteer and fun day organiser said, “We are delighted that this money will go towards supporting RNIB’s work in Banbridge and beyond. One of RNIB NI’s clubs for children in Northern Ireland is the Banbridge Kids Club. Lewis, my son, attends this and he really enjoys it.

“The club provides children with sight loss and their siblings with space to meet up, have fun together and build their confidence.

“We are absolutely thrilled with all the support we received from parents and their children, our volunteers and local businesses, all of whom made the day a fantastic success.”
