Further education students celebrate courses success

The achievements of several Larne students have been recognised at Northern Regional College graduation ceremonies.

Graduates completed courses in a range of faculties such as Built Environment and Design, Engineering, Science, IT, Media and Performing Arts, Social Care, Hospitality and Catering, and Travel and Tourism.

Speaking at the ceremony, NRC director Trevor Neilands congratulated all students on achieving their personal educational goals, and in particular highlighted the success of those who had earned Shooting Star Awards for outstanding work and achievement.

He said: “At Northern Regional College we encourage all students to achieve their personal best and when we looked across the grades achieved by particular students’ staff felt it was right to recognize their exceptional efforts. The citations written by the tutors highlight their dedication to their studies, their energy and enthusiasm, their class contribution and their willingness to work with their tutors.

“Many have now progressed to higher education within the Northern Regional College, have begun university courses or entered the world of work. We wish all our students every success.”
