Help Meagan win Miss World Crown

This year’s beautiful Miss Northern Ireland, who happens to be a local girl, is calling on the people of Lisburn to help her bring home the Miss World crown.

Meagan Green from the Carnbane Road area is currently in Indonesia preparing for the Miss World grand final which takes place on September 28.

For the first time the organisers of the competition have introduced an element which allows people to vote for their favourite contestants. You can do this by downloading the Miss World app from www.missworld.com/JoinourClub/ . It will cost 69p and you will receive two votes to cast on this year’s contestants, with the contestant gathering the most votes receiving the People’s Choice Award and gaining automatic entry into the final round.

Meagan was born and raised in Lisburn and is currently studying Business Management. Describing herself as “motivated and hardworking”, she is a self-confessed fitness enthusiast who regularly goes to the gym. A fan of the outdoors, Meagan enjoys time in the countryside as well as the more glamorous side of her life.

She describes Northern Irish food as ‘the ultimate comfort food’ and her favourite book is Noel Davidson’s Some Party In Heaven.

Talking about the competition Meagan said: “I’m delighted to be representing Northern Ireland and I’m grateful for the opportunity to be an ambassador.”
