The four ‘MoBros’ involved – Mr Christie, Mr McCoy, Mr Lambe and Mr Lowe – all ditched their razors for the month and between them managed to raise almost £700 for the charity.

Movember focuses on raising awareness of, and improving treatment of male-related illnesses. A large amount of this money was donated by the pupils of the teachers involved, who gave their spare change to this worthy cause.

Mr Lambe said: “I actually quite miss my ‘tache but my wife is glad that it’s gone. She can now walk beside me in the street rather than 10 steps ahead!”
