Last call for Lisburn models to show specs appeal

The winner will also receive a fortnight in Barbados and a makeover with TV celebrity hairdresser Andrew Barton. The competition is open until Sunday July 1 in all Specsavers stores and online at www.specsavers.co.uk/competition.

Helen has worn glasses since the age of nine and said: “I first needed to wear glasses when I couldn’t see the whiteboard at school. I was delighted as I was always nagging my mum to get me a pair. I love trying out new looks with glasses. They bring out a different side to me.

“The best thing about this campaign is that it supports anti-bullying charity, Kidscape. Anything that stamps out bullying of any kind, especially if it’s for wearing glasses, is a great thing.”

Natalie Gormley, store director at Specsavers in Lisburn, says: “Helen is a real eye-catching ambassador for the competition and has really shown people how to make a great fashion statement by choosing the right frames..”

Regional finalists will be announced in July, and the stars will earn a place on the catwalk at Britain’s biggest spectacle fashion-fest.
