Lexie Spence tribute concert cheque presentation

COUNTRY star Curtis Magee has raised over £4,000 for The Erne Hospital Comfort Fund.

The money was raised at concert in memory of Curtis’s late father Lexie Spence, which was held in Castlederg in November of last year.

Over 500 people attended the sell out show when stars from the world of showbiz gave up their time to pay tribute to Lexie who was well known in the music world.

Curtis said: “My father just loved music, it was his life and to see so many people there on the night to pay tribute to him was just unbelievable and he would have been so proud.”

Artistes on the night included Hugo Duncan, Boxcar Brian, Kenny Archer, Elaine Wood and Lexie’s grand-daughters Natasha and Shannon to name but a few.

Curtis continued: “We raised the money to pay back our gratitude and thankfulness to the doctors, nurses and staff up at the Erne hospital who cared for my father during his final days.

“This money will be used to help and provide care to other patients and their families during their stay in the hospital.”
