Local car sales director isdisqualified

The undertaking came from Fergus Charles James Dornan (44) of Carnbane Road, Lisburn in respect of his conduct as a director of Dornan’s Service Station (Lisburn) Limited.

The Company carried on the business of motor vehicle retailer from Market Place, Lisburn and went into liquidation on 22 April 2010 with estimated total assets of £181,400, liabilities to secured creditors of £1,578,204, liabilities to unsecured creditors of £491,042 and an estimated deficiency as regards creditors of £1,887,846. After taking into account the losses incurred by members (the shareholders) of the Company the total estimated deficiency was £1,927,846.

The Department accepted the disqualification undertaking from Fergus Charles James Dornan on 26 June 2014 based on unfit conduct which solely for the purposes of the disqualification procedure was not disputed.

The unfit conduct included failing to co-operate with the Official Receiver, failing to co-operate with the Liquidator, failing to account for the rental income paid to the Company and failing to file Annual Returns for the Company for the years ended 31 December 2004 until 31 December 2009 inclusive.
