Local events in UU Festival of Art and Design

The organisers have created a multidisciplinary festival of installations, publications, talks, screenings and exhibitions and have broadened the programme to host artists, designers and cultural practitioners in Belfast, Ballycastle, Coleraine and Derry-Londonderry.

Dr Andrew Sneddon will discuss the dynamics of witchcraft belief and accusation in the representation of gender and emotions at a talk in the Riverside Theatre, Coleraine, on Tuesday, March 8 from 6pm to 8pm.

On Thursday, March 10 from 5pm to 8.30pm at Portnagree House, Harbour and Marina Visitor Centre, Bayview Road, Ballycastle, Transmission Ballycastle explores and promotesthe town as a multidisciplinary space for dialogue between architecture, urban planning, visual arts, sociology, histories and heritage.

A coach will leave the Riverside Theatre at 4.00pm and return at 8.30pm.

Author, broadcaster and editorat-large for The Guardian, based in London, Gary Younge presents Black Lives Matter in the Age of Obama, in association with the Centre for Media Research, in Auditorium, Room U123, U block Ulster University, Coleraine campus, on Thursday, March 10 from 6.30pm to 8pm.
