Magherafelt plans given go-ahead

PLANNING applications for the Magherafelt District Council area which have received approval from the Planning Office, with a number of them subject to outlines and conditions inlcuded:

Change of use of agricultural land to accommodate an increase in existing car breaker’s compound and provision of new dismantling garage at 72 Gorteade Road, Swatragh, for Mr W. Quinn; proposed erection of wind turbine with 30m hub height and 30m rotor diameter with a max output not exceeding 250kw (amended proposal) 356m east of 25 Ballynacross Road, Magherafelt, for Aircore Ltd.

Proposed 20Kw wind turbine with 20m mast and 12.8m blade sweep diameter (amended location) at 60 Quarry Road, Knockloughrim, for Termoneeny Community Association.

Applications for the area, which were refused by the Planning Office, included: proposed domestic garage and new access to rear of propoerty (amended address) at Strawmore Road, Draperstown, for Mr Patrick Toner; farm dwelling and garage opposite 184 Drumagarner Road, Kilrea, for Mr D. Convery; proposed housing development consisting of four semi detached two storey dwellings and one detached two storey (five dwellings in total) on lands adjacent to and including 73 Hospital Road, Magherafelt, for Frances Taylor.

Proposed dwelling and garage for residential purposes to the rear of 14 Leitrim Road, Castledawson, for Mrs Phyllis Reid; dwelling on a farm 100m north west of 44 Drumderg Road, Draperstown, for Shane Convery; proposed dwelling and garage 90m north west of Carnaman Road, Drumard, Magherafelt, for Mr Danny Duggan; replacement dwelling and garage 20m north east of 20 Rocktown Road, Knockloughrim, for Mrs Bridget McCann.
