Man (47) charged with possessing indecent images

possession of a number of

indecent photographs.

Francis Murray, 47, whose address was given as Springbank Drive, appeared at Lisburn Magistrates Court on Monday (February 16) charged with 10 counts of possessing indecent photographs of a child.

The prosecution told the court that on May 31, 2012, the defendant had indecent photographs in his possession

Prosecution said there was a prima facie case to answer based on the evidence presented to the court.

Defence made no contrary submission to the prosecution assertion.

The charges were read to the defendant, who appeared in court in a wheelchair.

He made no response when the charges were put to him.

District Judge Rosie Watters released the defendant on his own bail of £500.

The District Judge also ordered the withdrawal of the holding charges.

The defendant is set to appear before Craigavon Crown Court for arraignment on March 24, 2015.
