Man pleads guilty to drugs offences

A Dromara man who admitted cultivating a cannabis plant will be sentenced next month at Banbridge Magistrates Court.

Mark McClure (25), of Whitethorn Lane, Dromara, pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of cannabis on February 8 this year and cultivating a cannabis plant on the same date.

Informing last Thursday’s local court of the guilty plea the defendant’s barrister said his client had previous relevant offences and the court may require a pre-sentence report.

Deputy District Judge Anne Marshall adjourned the case until April 14 so that a report on the defendant could be obtained.
