Man suffered head injury after attack in Dungannon

Police in Dungannon are investigating after a man was assaulted by three unknown males in the Mark Street area of the town last month.

The attack happened on December 10 but was not reported until December 30.

The victim had been walking past the area of the playpark at Milltown at around 9pm, when he was set upon.

The 49 year old sustained a cut to the back of his head that required hospital treatment.

Constable Sean Muldoon said: “We would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the attack or who knows who was responsible, to get in touch with us by calling 101.”
