May we trust though we can’t understand

“Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.” GEN 6-8

Old Noah did not wait until

The rain showed signs of falling,

He started straight away to build the ark,

Did not shun the Master’s calling.

So, he faithfully planned and laboured

In spite of all the jeers,

Safeguarding his dear family,

Striving to allay these fears.

The animals came in two by two,

It was almost like they knew,

Though his friends laughed at the idea

But his enthusiasm grew.

May we trust though we can’t understand

Tragedy, fear, turmoil and strife,

We too can build by faith and find

New meaning to this life.
