Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital by helicopter after crash in Stewartstown

The man, who was driving a trike motorbike, was airlifted from the scene by helicopter following the incident on Sunday afternoon.

Constable Ian Cargin said: “At approximately 2.10pm on Sunday police received a report that there had been a collision involving a car and a trike motorcycle at Hillhead.

“The rider of the trike motorcycle was air lifted to hospital by helicopter.

“The passenger of the trike and the driver of the car were taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment to their injuries. None are believed to be life threatening.”

He also appealed to anyone who was in the area at the time to call 101.
