Last week the DUP man was presented with a portrait painted by Oliver McParland.

Back in January, Oliver held an exhibition in the Millennium Theatre in Londonderry.

Nearly 20,000 people viewed his work, which included a range of political and entertainment figures.

Speaking about his work, Oliver said “I have a strong leaning towards portraiture.

“I have in the past couple of years painted local celebrities such as Liam Neeson and Rory McIlroy.

“The political section in my exhibition earlier this year included Gregory, so I was happy to present him with his portrait.”

Commenting on Oliver’s work, the DUP MP said that he was delighted with the finished product.

“Oliver contacted me and we arranged for him to give me the portrait.

“I wasn’t able to see the exhibition, so I was unaware of how it turned out.

“When he took the cover off and I saw the painting for the first time, to say I was impressed with the finished product is an understatement.

“Thanks to Oliver for a very good likeness done in a unique style.”
