Name a pony competition

TANNAGHMORE Animal farm has a cute new addition to its family.

A beautiful Shetland pony was born on July 21 and stands just 18 inches high.

Her mum – who has been at the farm for 10 years – is very proud of her first daughter, having given birth to three sons already.

As this is the first girl, Craigavon Borough Council has decided to run a competition to name the foal.

All you have to do is come down to the farm, pay her a visit and then put forward your perfect pony name.

There will be a box for entries in the log cabin and the competition will be open until Thursday, August 18.

The prize will be a free family swim at one of Craigavon’s three leisure centres.

“This is a great opportunity for a visitor to leave a lasting impression in Tannaghmore,” said Ruth Mason, Grounds Maintenance Supervisor.

“We are really excited to see what suggestions are put forward for the little pony and look forward to picking the winning name.”
