New Parish Reader
Choir member Simon McGonigle, who was commissioned on Sunday by the Dean of Derry, Very Rev Dr Wm Morton to serve as a Parish Reader. Simon completed his course with Canon Robert Clarke, Omagh. The preacher at the service was Canon John Merrick, Pastoral Assistant.
Dr William Morton said that Simon’s experience of the Choir over those years would greatly assist him in his understanding of liturgy in the worship of the Church, and that he is delighted to welcome Simon to the group of Parish Readers in the Cathedral.
