New session in Coleraine.

The new session of Coleraine RSPB (Royal Society for Protection of Birds) Group started on September 19 with Mervyn Guthrie giving A Wildlife Photographic Tour of Shetland. The venue is St Patrick’s minor hall Coleraine. The programme includes monthly evening talks and discussions on the third Monday of the month and monthly field trips.

We are a varied and friendly group of people, some just beginning to learn about birds and wildlife while others have years of experience which they are happy to share. The idea is to learn from each other.

We are so fortunate at the North Coast in having a wealth of wild places and a rich birdlife on our doorstep. The RSPB has recently widened its remit to include giving a home to Nature and the wider conservation of birds and wildlife in Northern Ireland. We aim to reflect this in the local area.

We are always keen to welcome visitors and new members. Please consider calling in as a visitor first to see what you think. We will try to make sure you feel at home.

If you have any questions or would like a programme please contact Peter (Group Leader) 02870344361 or Sheena (Hon Sec) 02870329323. Make this the year you learn more about the fascinating birds and wildlife all around us.
