Newtown and Culdaff lotsup for below 80,000 euros

A four bedroom house in Culdaff and two cottages in Newtowncunningham are amongst several properties going under the hammer in Dublin next week, each lot with reserve prices of less than 80,000 euros each.

The properties are among a range of local residential and commercial lots being auctioned off in the RDS by Allsop on April 21 and April 23.

The detached four bedroom house at Dunross, Culdaff, is being auctioned with a reserve price not to exceed 75,000 euros.

Meanwhile, the two two-bedroom cottages at Mill Cottage, Newtowncunningham will have a reserve price of 70,000 euros.

Elsewhere, a terrace of houses in Falcarragh is being offered for 175,000 euros.

The terrace at 1 to 7 Waves of Tory in the village comprises seven three bedroom terraced houses.

Another large block - 1 to 8 Court Apartments, Upper Main Street, Letterkenny - is also to be offered as one lot for 200,000 euros.

According to the particulars of sale documents both of the above blocks are partially occupied and as such are effectively being offered as rent farms to any buyer.

A detached five bedroom house at Drumkeen between Convoy and Letterkenny is also being sold at the auction with a reserve of 75,000 euros; a detached three bedroom bungalow at Druminnin near Barnesmore and Lough Eske is also being auction for 70,000 euros; a mid terrace house at Unit 10, Academy Court, Oliver Plunkett Road, Letterkenny is going under the hammer for 40,000; and a semi-detached four bedroom house at 70 Meadowbank Park, Letterkenny is being sold for 35,000.

All of the above properties will be lots at the residential auction on April 21.

Two days later Houston House in Letterkenny and HMD House in Gweedore will both be offered as commercial lots.

The former, which is located at Church Lane, Letterkenny, is described thus in the Allsop literature: “The property is arranged over ground and first floor to provide a mixed use building. Internally the property comprises two retail units at ground floor together with office accommodation overhead.”

It’s being offered with a reserve of between 80,000 to 95,000 euros.

HMD House at Magheraclogher, Bunbeg, is described as a “property arranged over ground and first floor to provide a mixed use building.

“Internally the property comprises an office and retail unit at ground floor level together four two bedroom apartments at first floor level. Car parking is provided to the front and rear of the building.”

It’s being offered with a reserve of between 150,000 and 175,000 euros.
