The fund raising event was organised by Marcus Boreland in the Manor Hotel and attracted over 60 guests from the local community.

Marcus explained: “My friend Jennifer was telling me about her daughter Chloe and my heart just sank. Everyday the family are having to travel to Belfast for Chloe’s treatment and they are finding things hard. So one night I just thought about raising some money for them, to help ease the pressure and help them with travel expenses or even just to buy Chloe a wee treatment.

“The night was a huge success and raised a staggering £1,745.20. My target was £1,000 so I was absolutely delighted with the total.”

Marcus would like to everyone who came along on the night as well as Sammy McClements and Noel Anderson. Special thanks also to the Manor Hotel for the use of their facilities.
