Northgate secures London school contract

LEADING ICT services provider, Northgate Managed Services, has won a £220,000 educational contract to deliver the latest cloud-based technology solutions to a new community-focused Free School in North London.

Hartsbrook E-ACT Free School in Tottenham is one of the first of a new concept of Free Schools which aims to set new standards in educational excellence by responding directly to the need of local communities.

Newtownabbey-based Northgate has collaborated with school sponsor E-ACT and Microsoft to develop a cloud-based solution which incorporates both Windows 8 and Office 365.

The integrated technologies and remote management provided by Northgate will offer the highest level of interactive learning across touch-screen desktops and mobile devices - enabling teachers to decide which are best suited to the different elements of the curriculum.

Chris Wiseman, Sales Director at Northgate commented: “The ethos of this project is to provide innovative cloud-based technologies which will not only enhance the learning experience for children today, but which can also be easily and cost-effectively adapted to meet the needs of future generations.”
