Service for Nurse McClean

A Service of Thanksgiving to Celebrate the life of Jean McClean, a former resident of Claudy village, who died on the 10th February in her 102nd year, will be held in Upper Cumber Presbyterian Church on Saturday 14th April, at 2pm.

Jean, known fondly as Nurse McClean, was the District Nurse and Midwife in Claudy and district for many years and was the Claudy Health Centre Nurse until her retirement in 1972. In her retirement and well into her late 90s, Jean devoted her time to voluntary work with Alla Craft and Luncheon Club and the Upper Cumber Drama Group.

The Family extend a welcome to all of Jean’s neigbours from the Claudy district and her many friends from around the area to this celebration of the life of a wonderful lady.
