Offender not with Lurgan Scouts
Last week’s Mail referred to convicted sex offender Colin Finnegan as being a former Scout leader from Lurgan.
It was pointed out to the Mail by members of several Scout troops in the district that Finnegan has never been involved with the Scouting organisation in the Lurgan area.
Finnegan (44) is originally from Bessbrook and lived there for the majority of his life, moving to Sloanhill Mews in Lurgan recently.
Finnegan was jailed for 11 years last Wednesday.
