‘Heartfelt appreciation’ of charity volunteers

Can I take this opportunity on behalf of Concern Worldwide to thank all our volunteers in Carrickfergus, during this, the 30th anniversary of Volunteers’ Week in the UK.

At Concern, we rely on dedicated teams of volunteers and local support groups to help us raise vital funds to tackle hunger with the most vulnerable people in the world’s poorest places.

Our volunteers give freely of their time and talents to take part in street collections, organise fundraising events, supervise charity shops, and help in the office.

They are on hand throughout the year to lend their support, and rise to the challenge at times of emergency when we need them the most.

In this Volunteers’ Week, can I take this opportunity to express my heartfelt appreciation to the many dedicated individuals in Carrickfergus who have given of their time and energy to support Concern; they play a vital part in all that we do, and for that, we are extremely grateful.
