Local branch to celebrate 70 years of RAF Association
THE Roe Valley Branch of the Royal Airforce Association(RAFA) is to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the foundation of the Association with a parade and church service in May this year.
The local branch are currently making plans for their celebrations, which will also include a buffet lunch, with visitors from the Causeway Coast Branch, the Portrush Branch and the Londonderry Branch also expected to travel to Limavady for the occasion.
Local ex-service personnel, youth organisations , the manager and staff of Headquarters Northern Ireland, as well as other dignitaries including the Lord Lieutenant will also be present. An invitation will also be extended to Limavady Borough Council.
The local council also discussed making a financial contribution to the costs of the event at a Development Services meeting held last night.
