When will politicians stand up for Lisburn?

SO Edwin Poots MLA and the DUP think Paul Butler has run away. Where to? To make sure that another DUP promise and pledge is sunk without a whimper?

I am referring to the Maze regeneration programme and the restoring of the H Block etc - a SF/IRA demand that will have to be fulfilled in the same way their other demands have been met.

Trevor Lunn MLA spoke last week in your paper about the stadium/sports ground. Could anything come of this?

I am amazed by the Northern Ireland fans who travel all over Europe for matches, but ask them to travel eight miles from Belfast to the Maze and they have all the excuses of the day.

Why does Lisburn city let Big Brother rule them - for example over John Lewis, the Maze etc? It’s time we stood up to them.

I know Councillor Paul Porter did make a protest at the City Hall, but he was a lone voice in the wilderness.
