Some of those include Jay Beatty, footballer and manager, Neil Lennon, Len Ganley, Barry Douglas, Archbishop Michael Jackson as well as William Paul Duprex who started scientific research by testing saliva of his Lurgan school friends.
Comedians Micky Bartlett and William Caulfield, as well as Lord Chief Justice Brian Kerr and Michael Deeny the 'Godfather of Irish Music' who brought the Horslips to the international stage.

Micky Bartlett, who grew up in Lurgan, is a top class comedian who has been described as Northern Ireland's answer to Kevin Bridges, Micky Bartlett is loved for his TV appearances on BBC NI’s Monumental and widely hailed as one of the funniest and fastest rising stars on the live stand-up circuit. Since he attended Lismore Comprehensive, in Craigavon Micky has only ever wanted to be a stand-up comedian, doing his first open spot in 2008 whilst in his final year at University, studying for a BA in Drama and theatre studies. One of the course modules examined comedians such as Billy Connolly, with the final assessment being a performance. This was all the push he needed to try stand-up as a career.
