Causeway Coast and Glens Council says 'help us protect our play areas' following vandalism and anti-social behaviour

Causeway Coast and Glens Council has appealed to the public to ‘help us protect our play areas’ following issues of vandalism, anti-social behaviour and damage to equipment.

In a post on social media, the Council said incidents of anti-social behaviour, vandalism and damage to facilities ‘can result in additional work and costs and, in some circumstances, delays to facilities being reopened for public use’.

"We would encourage residents to help us protect parks and facilities by reporting any damage or incidents of anti-social behaviour to Council as soon as they become aware of them,” they said.

"Where incidents involve criminal behaviour, including vandalism or deliberate damage, these should also be reported directly to the PSNI.

Thanking residents for their cooperation and support, Council added: "Prompt reporting helps Council respond as quickly as possible and supports efforts to keep facilities safe and available for the community.”

Issues can be reported via Council’s website, by calling 028 703 47034 or emailing [email protected]
