Paying tribute on social media, a spokesperson for the Windsor Park club said: “Colin, from Glengormley, was a familiar face in the former disabled section close to the old South Stand but unfortunately, he hadn’t been able to attend games since the Irish Cup final win against Coleraine, due to illness.

“The sympathy of everyone at the club is extended to the family circle at this very sad time.”

Fellow Newtownabbey-based Linfield fan, Darren Logan, said that Mr Graham’s passing was “a sad loss.”

Speaking to the Times, Darren said: “Colin, or ‘Tubby’ as we knew him, was just like the rest of us, a Linfield fanatic.

“A true gentleman always asking how you were. Little did we realise that in later years we would be asking the same of him.

“He was always invited down to our AGMs in Monkstown and he loved the craic with his fellow Bluemen. A sad loss and will be dearly missed by his friends at Monkstown True Blues LSC.”

A post on the Funeral Times website said: “Donations in lieu may be sent direct to MS Society.”
