Tributes paid to Jack McNally after death

Tributes have been paid to a well known Richhill businessman after he passed away.

Mr John George (Jack) McNally, passed away peacefully at Rosemount Care Home on Thursday (April 16).

Mr McNally was the beloved husband of Flo, from Sleepy Valley Court, Richhill.

He was the much loved father of Tracy and the late John and a devoted grandfather of William, Emily and Sarah.

House and funeral strictly private due to government restrictions.

Donations if desired for Rosemount Care Home and St Matthews Parish Church, Richhill with cheques payable to KG Cheevers and Son, Funeral Directors, 28 Dobbin Street, Armagh, BT61 7QQ

Jack and his wife Flo ran the Stonebridge restaurant at Armagh Road for many years.

He had been in Rosemount Care Home, Portadown for a considerable time suffering from dementia.

Described as “A perfect gentleman”. In his younger days he was an exceptional footballer, playing for Portadown, Loughgall and Tandragee Rovers.

Among those paying tribute was Richhill AFC.
In post on their Facebook page the club said: “Richhill AFC send our condolences to Flo, Tracy and devoted grandfather of William, Emily and Sarah and father of late John on the passing of Jack McNally, 16th April 2020 (Peacefully) at Rosemount Care Home.

“Thoughts and prayers are with the family circle at this sad time.”

Ulster Unionist Councillor Jim Speers said he was “Truly sorry and devastated to have learned of the death of Jack McNally, a life long family friend. I extended my deepest heartfelt sympathy to my dear friend Flo, Tracey the grandchildren & wider family circle.”
