'Virtual' summer scheme for Mid and East Antrim
The first week of the scheme will kick off on the local authority's social media channels from Monday, July 6.
"With our leisure facilities still closed to the public in line with public health guidelines, the virtual summer scheme is packed with everything from learning how to channel your inner circus performer to editing videos for your own blog or enhancing your photography skills," said a spokesperson.

"Join us on our social media channels from Monday July 6 to Friday July 10, for the first of three weeks of activities aimed at keeping your mind and your body healthy and well.
"Best suited to ages 6-14, most activities can be taken on by all ages, so why not get the whole family involved?"
Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Cllr Peter Johnston, encouraged everyone to join in the MEA Virtual Summer Scheme 2020.

“Council’s Sports Development Team have created a fantastic virtual summer scheme which takes into account the Public Health Agency’s 'Take 5 Steps to Wellbeing' guidelines, which encourage us to Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning and Give.
“Our summer schemes are extremely popular every year in Mid and East Antrim, but unfortunately due to the coronavirus pandemic, we are unable to physically get together to enjoy all the fun that brings.
“However, there are so many fun things to do within the virtual summer scheme programme like circus skills, photography and drumming, which can all be enjoyed from the comfort of our own homes.”
More information on activities is available on the council website.
