This annual family event marks the achievement of young people who have attended programmes during the last year.

Kaye Cormack, the Project Manager, welcomed everyone and briefly outlined the current issues around securing funding. She pointed out that thanks to a number of smaller grants, donations and fund raising activities there were no plans to close Phoenix in the near future although the number of activities and level of support will be reduced.

Each year the team select young people who have shown marked achievements during the year in memory of Angie Young, a founder Director. This year the Angie Young Senior Achievement Award was presented to Ethan Moore and the Junior Achievement Award to Ronan Gilfillan.

A special “Endeavour Award” was presented this year to Shania Platt who overcame her fear of water as she participated in a number of water based activities during our summer programme.

Unfortunately a number of other young people were also unable to attend as they were on holiday or working.
