Police appeal after shotgun stolen in Carnlough burglary

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a burglary in which a shotgun and cartridges were stolen from a residential premises in Carnlough's Tower Road area.

The incident took place between the hours of 7.45am and 5.30pm on Friday November 18, when entry was gained to the premises.

Detective Sergeant Crothers revealed: “A semi-automatic Browning, single barrel shotgun was stolen along with two or three cartridges and four duty free packs of tobacco.

“We are appealing to anyone that may have any information regarding this incident or to anyone that may have been offer similar items for sale in suspicious circumstances to contact the Reactive and Organised Crime Branch in Larne on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 985 on 18/11/16.”
