Police issue second appeal for witnesses to fatal crash near Magherafelt
Police have made a further appeal for information in relation to a two-vehicle crash near Magherafelt which claimed the life of a pensioner.
The incident occurred in the Glenshane Road area on Sunday, August 2, and grandmother Vera Young (82), of Carraloan Road, near Magherafelt, died in hospital almost a week later.
Inspector Amanda Kenny said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the vicinity of the junction of Lurganagoose Road at approximately 3pm who may have witnessed this incident which involved a grey Volkswagen Jetta and a black Mitsubishi Jeep, to contact Police at Magherafelt or the Collision Investigation Unit on the non-emergency number 101.”
