The Dean of Derry, Very Rev Dr William Morton, says he is “delighted and honoured” to take up the post of Prebendry of Howth within St Patrick’s Cathedral Chapter, Dublin.

The position will not remove him from his current post as Dean of Derry, but will see him ministering two weeks of the year to the congregations of the historic Dublin Cathedral twice a year, at Choral Eucharist, Matins and Choral Evensong services.

He also hopes that while in Dublin he can get to know the people of Dublin and his extended congregation much better and indulge in his love of music by occasionally playing the organ there.
